I returned these pearls because they were not even close to the illustration. Although potato pearls are supposed to be irregular, these had all sorts of indents and scratches that made them unwearable. I was very dissapointed.
This product was quite nice and it was very difficult for me to find pearls as nice as these at local jewelry stores. Most sets of pearls were well over a thousand dollars but this is a great buy and the pearls are in great condition. This was my first jewelry purchase for my girlfriend and it made a great Christmas present, this is a great necklace and it was my girlfriends first set of pearls as well.
I really like this bracelet. It is pretty and the size of the stones are nice and classy looking. It also came in a nice package and would make a nice gift for others.
I bought this for my wife and she loved it. Considering the price i paid this item is entirely worth it.
I bought the “7-7.5mm Cultured Freshwater Pearl Necklace, 18″ in length” also by Amour (same company as this one) prior to buying this one because this was sold out at the time. This 8-9mm looks significantly better in shape and size. The pearls all look consistently round (whereas the 7-7.5mm one looked off round). You wouldn’t think the 7-7.5mm and 8-9mm would look that different but wow, when worn the 8-9mm looks so much larger, rounder, and better in general. Although the description says “high luster,” the luster is the same as the 7-7.5mm one which is described as “medium luster.” Basically, I wish the pearls had better luster, especially when closely examined. From a couple feet away they look pretty darn good. For ~$21 this is worth it.
I bought four of them: one for me and one for each of my three bridesmaids. They are beautiful. The chain is very delicate, but a reviewer for this same necklace with the smaller pearl said she had the chain for five years and it hasn’t broken after weekly use. I think a thicker chain would overwhelm the simplicity and elegance of the pearl.
I opted for this version instead of the 6-7mm version because they were the same price at the time I bought it. I would have preferred the smaller one for myself, but it still looks great. It’s an accent by itself instead of having a string of pearls.
Before I bought it, I drew a 7.5mm circle on a post-it, cut it out, and stuck it where it would lie on my chest with the 18″ chain (right below my collarbone). I looked in the mirror, and it seemed just right to me. It helped me understand just how big it was and if I might need a longer chain.
If you prefer simple jewelry, then this might be a good choice. If you prefer bold jewelry, then you might want something else.
When I lost one of my beautiful earrings in France last month I was very sad. We knew they both would have to be replaced and before hitting the jewelry shops we tried Amazon-lo and behold I found a pair more beautiful than my old ones. These are gorgeous. Smaller than my 8 1/2 mm pearls but more lustrous nd perfectly round. A winner!
